Destination Morocco. The North African country borders the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean to the North and West respectively. It is only kilometers from Spain (in Europe). The country has mixed cultures of Arabic and French, influenced by colonization and migration over time.
Kati traveled to Morocco with her grandmother when she was younger. For me, the film Casablanca has always tempted me to go there. Although the film was shot in California with the outdoor film at Van Nuys Airport (Yes, I went there too), the story itself is based in Morocco. We love Morocco for its strong traditional ties to the Arab way of life, living with bustling medieval towns and grandiose landscapes. Pristine beaches and bustling waters offer luxury in its simplest form, coupled with diving and snorkeling activities at sea.
The streets of Marrakech are bustling with Moroccan historical monuments, souks, attract you with bright colors of saffron and gold; spicy aromatic herbs and spices, and snake charmers. Imagine snake charmers on the streets! Oops!
We love Africa. When we talk about Africa, most people see lions and elephants. This is another version of Africa. A calm Arab atmosphere, a wonderful mix of cultures and a great experience in the serene Canary Islands.
You will enjoy every bit of your stay in Morocco.
